I bought this cheap top hat at a party store years ago but I would love to have the real thing from the Victorian Era. So my New Year's hubby can really feel like a Victorian!
For some height I used my pedestal cake stand. Brought out the mirrored ball ornaments, and a small bell one, for a little glitz and shine...
a vintage foil wrapped paper bell that I stuck a small mirrored ball in so you couldn't see the brownish colored paper in there. :) And I liked it that way!
And this year, at WalMart, I found these cute black mirrored top hats to add to all the glitz, I have one on both sides of the cake stand.
They came with a small sprig of ugly black evergreen with gold berries so I took that off and just added the ribbon.
And now for the postcards. These are my latest ones that I bought at a sale last month. All with the ever popular clock theme.
I want to take this time to thank each of you for following and reading my blog, I have enjoyed getting to know you through your blogs and look forward to a new year of blog reading and inspiration, and friendship.
Wishing you a blessed New Year! Happy 2017!

It looks so festive and pretty, Gina. I love the idea of a decoration for New Year's but for some reason have never done it, except when I first started blogging I did dress up my little boy mannequin and some bears with shiny hats and whistles.Hope your New Years is a great one..Judy
ReplyDeleteGina, forgot to say Happy Birthday to your hubby..J

Hi Gina, that is such a beautiful and sparkling new year's decoration centerpeice....I love it! Just stopped by to thank you for the sweet compliment you left me...I do love to wear my "gypsy skirts" year round and finding different ways to wear them is fun for different seasons. Are y'all having a freezing weekend out that way? It's getting cold here for a spell!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a wonderful 2017, Gina, full of excellent things.

Hey Gina, hope all is well up there. It's in the 70's here so we fear the tulip trees might start budding out...and the azaleas start to bloom. I'm not complaining, however. Marshel in Alabama
