Ghost Tours at Richard's Historic Home

Hello everyone, hope all had a wonderfully "haunted" Halloween!
I found myself here...

in Clarksville, Missouri

Richard hosted a Haunted Tour at his historic home.
He had things decorated like a funeral from the 1860's.
Mirrors and chandeliers and wreaths were covered in black fabric,
and each room had a spooky candle light glow.

(the above and below photo taken by Richard Cottrell)

Richard's sweet niece Linda helped with the tours.

And guess who got to help with the tours?!
Yes, me!
We had tours every half hour from 6 to 10:00.
It was so much fun!

But guess what was even more fun?!
Sleeping in one of Richard's beautiful guest bedrooms!
In the photo below the bed and chandy are covered with black tooling
and a few mourning wreaths are on the bed.

More black tooling on the mantle.

And here is the view from my bedroom window.
The Mississippi River!

I got to use this wonderful bathroom

with this beautiful pink chandelier.

After a busy evening,
there were 83 people who came for the tours,
I was "dead" tired and ready to climb into bed.
THIS BED!

And oh was it a dreamy night!!

  5. I'm glad that is over. I don't like anything about ghost tours and hated to see Richard's beautiful house with all that black creep parer and funeral stuff. Glad you enjoyed your time there anyway. As I always love stepping into his fabulous mansion

I will be so glad to see his house all decorated for a more cheerful even like Christmas and New Year's.

    Glad you had fun
